I sit at the beach
I’m home
Girls are still wearing
Tiny bikinis
Despite the month
Of July
There always seems
To be surfers
Despite
The Midday sun
The sun is still shining
Though
And of course
Their glad to be here
Glad to be living free
With the grass
And the trees
Far from fear
And uncertainty
My first trip to the beach
In 18 months
Why did I wait so long again?
