Anglia TV newsreader Emma Baker Reveals Colleagues' Sex Lives

Footage has now been leaked online of the newsreader who started talking about her colleagues' sex lives – even hinting one was having an affair.

Anglia TV newsreader Emma Baker was caught on the hop by the national broadcaster's decision to put the regional news broadcast forward to an earlier slot.

Bosses at Norwich-based Anglia said they would launch an investigation into the mix-up

It was the moment around 8am when the national GMTV programme hands over to local studios for the regional news.

In Norwich, Emma Baker was waiting to read her bulletin to Anglia TV viewers.

Unfortunately for her, no one passed on the news that she was on air.

The 26-year-old presenter was heard asking a colleague: "Have you phoned your wife this morning or have you phoned Jan?"

Brushing her hair and pouting in readiness for her live broadcast, she apparently addressed another unseen friend: "Good morning, Mrs Shameless".

Then she put her hand up the front of her blouse to adjust her microphone, exposing a flash of tummy.

Viewer Sally Fox, 45, of Milton Keynes, said: "It was much more interesting than the usual local news. It was like a soap opera unfolding.

"When she put her hand up her shirt it seemed that she was fiddling with her bra. I saw her tummy.

"When she said about the guy phoning his wife it seemed that she was suggesting that someone was having an affair. I was just thinking, "Whatever is going on?"

"This all went on for about three and a half minutes and she was preening herself and pouting like Madonna, sticking out her boobs.

"Then somebody obviously told her it was going out live and her face went ashen. It was as if she had been hit by a thunderbolt.

"She started reading the news but how she got through it all I will never know. Top marks to her for that."

Another viewer, Andrea Goreham, 24, of Norwich, said: "I was cringing and felt so sorry for Emma. It must be terribly embarrassing for her.

"I felt like shouting at the TV to try and warn her she was on air."

A spokesman for Anglia TV said that rather than saying "shameless", Miss Baker could have been talking to a studio director named Seamus.

"There was nothing said which we feel might have upset the viewers. We are sorry our normal professional service was compromised.

"We are carrying out an investigation with GMTV to take the necessary steps to make sure it doesn't happen again."
