And the Fruit of the Spirit is . . .

There are nine fruits of the spirit. Like natural fruit that grows on a tree spiritual fruits grow on us and through our lives. Evidence of a victorious life in Christ will be the manifestation of these fruits. They are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Like natural fruit, they will evolve in a given period of time, a season if you like. Please do not be confused with the gifts of the spirit. These will assist us with the ministries that God has called us to serve. In some cases, we can even ask to receive certain gifts of the spirit.
In time, every believing Christian will receive all fruits of the spirit. This is also a way of telling where a person is in their walk with the Lord. We are not to judge others. However, we can tell what kind of tree a person is by the fruit that is evident in their lives.
Failing that, you can squeeze a honeycomb and sweet honey comes out. Try doing that to a bear and see what happens. Tomorrow we will begin to look at love. We all love honeycombs, especially wild honey up in the bush. What about bears; see yah tomorrow.
