If I were to be anyone...

January 23rd 2007 20:00
One of the first things told to me when given the assignment was to think outside of the box and avoid the clichéd. I do believe the person I have chosen for this topic steps outside the box in every way possible. If I could be anyone for a day I would chose to be O.J. Simpson. He is neither the stereotypical role model nor anywhere close to someone to look up to, but at the same time his character captivates me.
Before I started to write I did my research on the case and most believe him to be guilty of both murders although the courts convicted him of only one. Many rap artists refer to him in their lyrics saying they would get away like O.J. If he did in fact murder his ex-wife the fact that he could escape conviction not only insults our judicial system, but also shows that with a large amount of money and the brains to hire the right attorney anyone can receive a get out of jail free card.
In a letter written to O.J. from Nicole Brown Simpson, Nicole called O.J. on every mistake he made in the relationship from the cheating to the abuse. She asked him to keep the letter whether they stayed together or not. He cheated on her many times before their marriage and after. He told Nicole she gained too much weight during her pregnancy. He abused her. None of this makes me want to be him for a day, but more so the murder case

burning deception

January 23rd 2007 19:49
As the police lowered the man-made sun and raised the moon emblazon with a newer man or woman of some sort, Sally, the grass seemed to grow brown and the spring never brought new life to Deppsvilla. The "sun" never turned its backdrop a brilliant light blue, but left it murky.
Contrary to the bleak town, Oliver's ambitions and loves allowed spectacular reds, oranges and yellows to dance upon his clothing bringing him to life among the semmingly dead. Unlike jack Skellington or Victor VanDort, Oliver Loganov fell in love and could do nothing about it until his father moved on or died. The disrespect of a son to marry when his father held no love remained unforgivable.
With the door locked and the curtains drawn they could not be seen together. Isabelle Thatcher dressed in bland maroon floor length dress hugging her hour glass figure. Her chestnut brown hair pulled back tightly in a french braid tied with a yellow ribbon emphasized her lilac eyes with the help of her overall somber appearance

He started messaging her again the next day saying she had no right to be mad for Nikki's behavior and all she ever did to him was hurt him.
"All I ever do is hurt you? Yet I'm the one who almost ended up in the hospital because of you. That seems a little bit off to me. Oh well, I'm going out tonight."
She could tell she ripped his heart out when he said, "I'm done, I'll call you sometime

the saga continued

December 21st 2006 12:11
They talked every night on the phone while he continued dating Nikki and everything she wanted laid on the tips of her fingers. He would ask her to kidnap him, and they'd make plans for it and laugh.
The day of the Christmas Band Concert he asked her to call him afterwards and little did she know that would be the end of the happiness.
Nikki answered the phone which caused no big problems in her eyes. As long as she could talk to Will it would all be ok, but when he spoke to her he only barked that he would call her back
