In my own experience, I've seen many cases of social faux pas unwittingly (or sometimes wittingly) committed by visitors to other places. Sometimes it's a case of being unaware of that place's standards; other times it is pure cluelessness brought on by a self-absorbed attitude on the part of the offender. In this blog I attempt to compare peoples' opinions from all over about what they find to be bad manners. When responding, please say where you're from in the world so that we may all learn from each other..thanks!

To me manners are about creating an harmonious environment and respecting ourselves and other people. I f a person treats you well, with good manners, it makes you feel good.

E.g. excuse me please, rather than just standing there, or simply pushing past or saying urgh or some such.

It'll be interesting to see how you get on.
