Amy Steals Stall Loot

January 18th 2012 02:51
Amy looked to the left and then to the right. The cops had gone. She had out ran them. She sighed as she fingered the jewellery she had swiped. She had made it, stolen something and ran from the law! She felt... well she felt a little dizzy. She hadn't been living on anything but water, and she began to feel faintness inside of her spirit. The world began to turn as the air became water that rippled all around her. Amy couldn't even push the jewellery inside of her pocket. She shivered and saw a black space open before her very eyes. It opened inside of her mind, and it was then she fainted.

Amy looked at the police officer. She couldn't believe she had been arrested. It had been a simple swipe and grab at the market. She had stolen everything off the board, and then raced. She hadn't believed the riot that had ensued. Throngs of crowd shouted, and the police were called. She had become a star for the day, and for all the wrong reasons.

Amy glared at the police man in all the good clothes his duty could afford. She wondered what was going to happen? She wasn't sure. She had never been caught before. She was often swift of foot. It made her feel great to race like the wind away from trouble. But now she was caught. Red handed with the loot. She had been told she was in trouble, and she waited for someone to talk.

A key turned the lock. Amy looked to the door as it opened. She saw a new kind of police man walk inside, and she shivered.

“Come out for a bite to eat;” he muttered with a nonsense smile pasted on his face.

Amy shivered, however she couldn't say no to food. She picked up her shoes and walked. She followed the police officer to a room. There she was sat on a chair and given a sandwich and a drink. Amy began to eat. She hungrily chewed on the food. After a while it disappeared. She glared at her plate and began to think about seconds. However there were no seconds, the door opened and in came an officer with pen and paper. Amy began to shrink.

“How are you today?” asked the officer.

“Fine;” told Amy.

“Unlike the stall owners you swiped your loot from;” outlined the officer. “They lost hundreds today because of loss of customers;” he said.

“So?” retorted Amy as she felt her tongue grow heavy.

“So, you caused it by running with their items. A great many of which are non-returnable;” he added.

“I don't have them now;” muttered Amy.

“I know;” told the officer. “We sent them back in an envelope;” he outlined. “However you are now a criminal;” he said.

“What?” gasped Amy. “Me?” she asked.

“Yes you;” told the officer as he put a pen to paper and then readied to write. “So why not tell us why you stole the items;” he muttered.

“What makes you think I stole them?” asked Amy as she recalled the morning when she realised that she had nothing to eat, nothing new to wear, nothing to do; she had nothing! She was part of the poor box and it couldn't even be hidden!

“Well you were found with them;” told the officer.

“They could have been planted! I had been walking and fainted!” Amy gasped.

“You fit the description. Someone even got you on video and you are wearing the same clothes;” told the officer.

Amy gasped, then she pouted. Life was so unfair. Why on earth did she have to steal the morning loot!

“I don't know;” muttered Amy as she began to grimace. “I just thought I could;” she said.

“Not for money, not for food?” asked the officer as he glared.

“I don't know;” told Amy. “I can't think, I am confused;” she added.

“What are you confused about?” asked the officer.

“I don't know!” told Amy. “I can't think!” she added before she turned her tongue into silence.

“We just want to ask what your reasons were;” told the officer.

“I already said it just came to me, an idle idea, a win!” she muttered.

“Okay;” told the officer as he began to scrawl.

“You could have gotten shot racing away with all that loot;” told the other officer.

“I didn't know, I didn't think!” argued Amy as she began to turn gruff.

“Just saying;” told the officer.

Amy began to pout. She was asked more questions to which she gave dismal answers. The cops grew restless as they desired for clearer answers. Amy said she couldn't recall whenever they began to throw her sour stares. She began to grow moody, and at times she stayed silent for a very long time. She didn't know what to think about. All she knew was that she wanted to go home. Amy answered questions, and was then put inside of her cell. She was told she was going to stay there until they called for court. She shrugged and sat on her bed. She couldn't even sob, she was so mad and depressed at the same time.

“This bites!” she muttered as she felt her ego sink. “This is the worst!” she declared before she began to grow weary enough for sleep.
