Taming the shoe

Whoever said eyes were the window to the soul got it all wrong...Infact they have been on our feet the whole time. It is the soles that are the windows to the soul! And just as we as humans are forever searching for the one true love, we are also out to find the perfect shoe; our sole mate!
The soul is described as the immaterial part of us, the part that holds our personality and feelings, if this is the case the shoe must be the extension of our soul as each shoe invokes a different feeling within us and each shoe is designed (as quoted by Manalo Blahnik) to tell a story , just as each individual has their own story.
Humans are full of desires and wishes, a shoe has a dream quality, it can depict those inner most thoughts by the colour we choose to wear, the height of the heel and the embellishments. A heel interprets out character, and just as we have different moods we need lots of shoes! A shoe designer doesn't just design a shoe, they create a whole vision behind the shoe, we associate to these inspirations, because as humans we are ignited by colour and beauty, and in life colour and shape represents who we are and how we feel. Each shoe relates to us in a different way and each shoe takes us on a different journey.
A shoe is crafted in such a way it has the power to take your breath away, i don't know how to describe the feelings that pass over me just by looking at a shoe, so imagine when you slip on a heel the power that you feel, you become someone, you take on the persona of the shoe, you are strong, or you are romantic, but most of all you are feminine and sexy. Not to say that shoes change your personality but rather brings out the best qualities of yourself and they make a statement about who we are.
We are forever searching for that perfect shoe, we are forever looking for love and friendship. Just as is in life we fall in and out of love, we fall in and out of love with different styles. Just as love hurts, our shoes to can bring us pain and even though we know they will hurt we still wear them because we love them oh, so much! Sometimes a shoe won't fit us, even though we are sure it will suit us! Just as in life some people are just not made for us! Also they are always there just to look at and make us feel good , just as a good friend will be with you in a time of need.
Heels are our sole mate in life because they inject us with a spirit that is not tangible, but they also visually please us. Each shoe shares a part of our life, they bring up particular memories. Each one brings up different feelings, not just because of the time we have with them but also because they are a thing of beauty and just like a soul mate they will walk to the ends of the earth with us!
