Ami and Chap

Ami looked to the world. It had a big blue sky. She liked the look of it. It made her feel rather hopeful. She didn't know why. There was just a tone she liked. Something that made her eyes feel soft. It made her feel very good. She just wanted to smile at it.
“I wish I could smile at the sky all day long!” Ami declared before she heard her friendly little dog Chap bark nearby.
Ami turned around and saw Chap barking at her as it ran. It had scrambled out of the house, and it was headed right for her. Ami glared at Chap and whistled. She then smiled as she beckoned it over. The little dog jumped as it neared. Ami saw its legs spread out as though it were a flying superman! It flew like a bullet towards her! Ami opened her arms just in time to catch Chap as he thumped into her chest.
“You are excited!” told Ami as she hugged Chap and petted him. “What are you doing with so much energy?” she asked as Chap wriggled until he was able to get away.
Ami watched Chap dart to the nearby reeds. There was a small duck pond beyond them, and she rolled her eyes as she heard a splash. Ami moved to the reeds, and she parted their strands. She smiled at Chap as she watched him swim around in the water. He had found a dragon fly to chase, and he was still trying to catch it as it taunted him. Ami giggled as she looked at Chap as he tried to catch the dragonfly as it flew near. Chap was too slow, and even when the dragon fly landed on his chin was he unable to catch him. Ami whistled to Chap, and he looked to her. Chap barked as he saw Ami but he did not come to her as she had wanted. Instead he moved to a rock and began to lick all the grimy scum off it.
“Yuck Chap!” Ami grimaced as she watched Chap lick and sick the gross green slim that served as the rocks second skin. “That's algae Chap! Don't eat it!” she muttered as Chap continued to lick and suck.
Suddenly a large fish came out of the water. It saw Chap and it jumped. The fish jumped over Chap, and the little dog barked before it began to whine.
Ami looked to Chap as he moved towards her with its little legs kicking hard! He had become scared!
“Aww it's only a fish Chap!” Ami muttered as she splashed her hand in the water in order to tell Chap that she was ready to pick him up.
Chap came closer to the banks. As he did Ami smiled as she was able to pick him up. Ami dragged a very wet Chap out of the water, and then she cried out loud as he wriggled away in order to be able to shake himself.
“Ugh Chap!” Ami cried out as she felt beads of wet sprinkle all over her. “Gross! You don't get me wet too!” she cried out before she got up and began to race back to the hose.
Chap glared at Ami for a few seconds as she darted. He then began to follow. Chap barked at Amy as she sprinted before him. He barked as she seemed to get further away. Then he barked as he began to pump his little legs in order to catch up. By the door Chap barked so loud it made Ami stop. Ami laughed, turned around, and then she giggled as she saw string haired Chap glaring at her. Ami picked Chap up, and then she began to pet Chap. Chap barked and then began to playfully lick her chin. Ami laughed and took him inside the house.
Ami took Chap to the bath, and she placed him on the floor mat. Chap barked as she began to fill the bath with water.
“Now you get another kind of bath Chap!” Ami declared as she smiled. “In you go!” she muttered as she picked Chap up and plonked him inside the water.
Chap began to drink some of the water as Ami picked up the shampoo.
“Now you will be cleaned!” declared Ami as she began to squirt shampoo over Chaps neck and body.
