A place where Knowledge of your world is found.

About Me
Simply put: Art, Fashion, Technology, Music, and Journalism.
I did have a really spectacularly written about me section and then orble decided it was too good and crash. Thus, my spoils of ingenuity were lost. So onward and upward I suppose.

The prime interest in the Music industry is that of Industrial. Though I fancy a good hard beat, any genre of music is meant and should be heard whether i enjoy it or not; so I do.

I am qualified to create and maintain websites, on line as well as off line. I also an a Fine Art/ Digital creator ranging from Photoshop, MX suites, and the good 'ol Pencil and Paper technique. I enjoy many ranges of art from Fantasy to some, mind you SOME, abstract. ( I do not believe a pink squiggly line on an angle should be framed in a museum and deemed " A Nude Walking Down the Stairs." )

Fashion is a new concept for me to be dabbling in depth as of late. This being said only because I previously had absolutely no desire to look at skin and bones balancing on stilts down a narrow runway pretending not to be dazed from all the little flashes of their fans. Until the day Too spooled emailed me for a Online Scout and I couldn't help but offer my witty service for their disposal.

So at last the end of the mad rant of the Decay. Hope it was as joyous to read, as it was for me to spurge out unto you. Feel free to add insight of your own or others thoughts; Always and Forever will be welcome to hear. Peace.

CoG - LOTRO: Shadows of Angmar

May 14th 2007 23:40
MY Preciousssssssssss

I haven't been closely following the Lord of the Rings saga as I have been wanting to be, but the word out on this game is seeming as if this game is at the Oscars. Press releases have been ranting about the game giving it awards left and right. Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar has been announced as the #1 PC Title across North America and Europe. As well as the Editors Choice Award. Critics from around the globe have been talked about and rated. One word sums this MMORPG up. NINE.

Alright so I cheated, it's actually a number. Games Radar, Vault Network, Game Daily, and CVG have given this game a rating of 9 out of 10. GameSpy gave it a rating of 4.5 out of 5 and CNet.com's rating is 8.3 out of 10. People from the likes of Tolkien and others who could care less have been loving this game since it's release on 4/24/07.

In game you can meet famous characters like Gandalf and the Fellowship as well as create your own unique character. Adventure as a Man, Elf, Dwarf or Hobbit. You choose where your character hails from and are able to select region-appropriate color palettes for skin, hair, eye color, and more. There are seven classes offered through this massively build game: deal Champion, Guardian, Burglar (Frodo Wannabe anyone?), Captain, Hunter, Minstrel, or Lore-master.

Exploring legendary locations like the Prancing Pony and Rivendell are not an unheard concept for players. This game also had a heated debate on the official forums concerning the size of the world. At launch, the game will be 50,000,000 square meters (approximately 19.7 miles). While to some that may sound small, keep in mind that is roughly 60% of World of Warcraft's game word (prior to Burning Crusade). If this were all of the sprawling Middle Earth from literature, many might be heartbroken, but remember the launching area is only one part of the game's world (Eriador is the launch area, which is approximately 1/4 of Middle Earth -- if that).

It looks as if their really is a bigger world out there for all you MMORPGers. This game has been hight anticipated and also was very well guarded. Slim leaks to the press and fans of LOTR had very little know-of when before this game hit the shelves. Kudos Beta Testers, and ya gotta love that NDA agreement. Well go my people and enjoy the spoils of slashing those ugly goblins and bug eyed Orcs. Spill the black blood of the evil Uruk-Hai. Then go kiss an elf or two as Frodo and Super Sam almost play tonsil hockey with one another. (Whoops)

Peace.

Blogging and Writing for a Living

Blogs and money. Money and blogs. Writing opinions and getting that paycheck. Sounds dreamy doesn't it. What better way to spend your time doing something you enjoy. Can a person get some green doing something they love as a hobby? Hey, a hobby that just happens to be writing. People do it all the time. You see it when opening up a book from that favorite author, or passing by a gas station and seeing the cashier reading a newspaper. What a life, writing what you think so others can read it. Easier said than done. Every career has its hurdles and pot holes. Writing is full of them, namely blogging.

Though, many are making some type of money out of it, some more than others, the surprising thing about people writing thoughts and events on a blog is the reasoning on why they are. Tis naught for money; the act rather. Many write about politics, Gadgets and gizmo's, fashion, art, and music simply because they love the art of writing. The challenge that it offers. Having to bring in readers from across the globe and retaining them, creating something so interesting that it keeps them coming back for more each week, or even each day. Making this happen is a very difficult task in itself and takes many authors and publishers years to hone this skill. Even then, the author may be able to create stunning events in the minds of the readers imagination, through exhausting sentences, grammar, punctuation, and spree of creatively thought up terms. Still the author is far from mastering the skill. So why is it that writing is so sought after especially in the new age of blogging? Could it be the challenge? Perhaps it's a persons desire to create a world in the minds eye rather than on a sheet of an unwrinkled piece of 8 x 10 paper? Only the authors of the world can answer this; each one with a different answer.

Even without the answers from many different people, new and countless more blogs appear everyday. Some with the sole goal of generating some type of income, be it a business promoting it's products or an average college student finding some way to fill their time and making it as productive as they can. Either way they share the same goal; Will write for Money. Now the problem arises of manifesting this heart filled goal into accomplishment.

There are many ways of doing this. Marketing the hell out of what you write, getting that ever lucky break of a company finding that wizard of an author to weave their magic words into something a person would want, networking blogs to others, or even using Google Adwords. There are many more ways that could possibly generate or even supplement a persons income. Now with all this being said, people and companies fail ever so often and leave their dreams of writing for a living because they do not see the results as quickly as they wish for.

Giving up on the dreams of being an author is number one reason why people fail at it, or they simply just do not wish to make any money and want a virtual diary. Nothing wrong in that. So, if a person wants to succeed at generating something from blogging, be it satisfaction or cash, the only thing the author has to do is simply, Keep at it. The age old saying "Patience is a virtue." comes to mind. Never give up on dreams, for it a person does than how would a person know if it could be accomplished or not. Dreams are not easy, if they were than they wouldn't bring a smile or a glimpse of hope to a person now would they.

So don't give up. Keep at it no matter how hard or inevitable it seems. You'll never know what you'll learn out of perseverance. What comes out of it is sometimes lest expected and ever more so, never thought of. Kudos to those lucky few who have some moolla generating writings and blogs. Even more kudos to those who keep to their dreams and have seen nothing produce from their fruits of labor.

NIN :: Year Zero - What's the Buzz

US release date: 17 April 2007
UK release date: 16 April 2007

It takes place about 15 years in the future. Things are not good. If you imagine a world where greed and power continue to run their likely course, you’ll have an idea of the backdrop. The world has reached the breaking point—politically, spiritually and ecologically. Written from various perspectives of people in this world, Year Zero examines various viewpoints set against an impending moment of truth.
—Trent Reznor on Year Zero

The latest reviews on Year Zero has been that of astounding. Rivet, Industrialist, and even metal heads have been raving since this albums release on April 17 of this year. Year Zero is the most ‘industrial’ record he has yet made; full of swirling synthetic beats and double-edged mechanical onslaughts. At sixteen tracks, it’s the densest single-disc set he’s produced, with hardly a guitar to be heard. Even his vocal performance is restrained—not once does he erupt into a throaty yell, and he intonates with a grim finality, allowing the humming computers to be angry for him. And if you thought “The Hand That Feeds” was politically charged, that was a barrel of laughs compared to some of the material on here; no prizes to anyone who can guess what the track “Capital G” is about.

Living with a few rivet heads myself, daily I can hear the constant electronic rants and raves about what society can become and is well on its way. " The Great Destroyer" has been deemed "Iconic sounding" by a plethora of fans. This album wasn't created over a mass amount of assorted drugs and the ramblings of a few rich drunks. Reznor created this with every single sober bone and muscle in his body. If this is what happens on a recently sober mastermind, one can only wait in purgatory for his next album.

Year Zero, the fifth studio effort from the pioneering industrial-rock icon, is a full-length concept disc set in the dark days of 2022. Reznor professes that this is the worlds end as we know it. A few cuts have a hip-hoppy bounce in their step. And nearly all of them are just a little leaner and more focused than Reznor has been in the past. That's probably another side-effect of his newer, healthier lifestyle.

Either that or it's something in the water..

Heh I used to play WoW. Arch Lord has a decent interface, but it was like a bad version of EverCrack. I mean they locked down the language filters so badly that you can't even say "Spawn". What the hell... what if you were talking about Todd McFarlenes frigin character or wondering when a mob boss popped. Eh. but anywho enjoy

Well it doesn't look as bad as Arch Lord. I'll check it out just for the sake of it. Morrowind SHOULD be an mmorpg. I always seem so alone when I play it.

rock on Jeanne,
This site looks really good, and honestly if I can start doing that type of work, it would be a life saver. One can always use an extra buck especially when one's unemployed. Thanks for the info.

Well I hope so. The first one was a let down. Too much hype and not enough good acting. Honestly I'd be weary to see this in theaters. The gore was enjoyable, and the storyline was good. I just hope this one follows through with expectations more than it's predecessor.

Peace.

Paula's Blogger/Webmaster Salaries
Perhaps one day I'll see those results, but first. I should work on my networks heh.

Heya Tracy,

NIN hasn't yet said why they postponed it other than their lovely note of "Due to Circumstances beyond our control..."

But keep your ticket if you have one. Tool did that last month and a lot of people junked their tickets. Come to find out over 100 seats were still available the night of the show.

Thanks for the compliment and comment. Keep in touch!

Peace.
