All-Star break Evals
February 15th 2013 19:13
The 2013 All-Star break is finally here and games have not gone the way for many teams.
LA is one of the best teams in the league. Just this year LA is referring to the Clippers and the bottom feeder is the Lakers. Roles have reversed and little brother has finally eclipsed big brother as far as the regular season goes. Playoffs....we'll see.
The Brooklyn Nets are above .500 but lack what it takes to win against the primary teams it would face in the (conference) finals. They have improved a lot since the start of the year.
The Nuggets are streaking against great teams and look solid. Not having a star on the team seems to do them wonders... however we'll see where that takes them in the playoffs.
The Knicks showed that cutting Jeremy Lin and going with the experience of Jason Kidd has paid off with one of the top records in the league. And on the other hand the deal has worked fairly well for Lin and the Rockets. Rockets are currently 8th in the West.
OKC, Miami and San Antonio are doing exactly what has been expected of them. Playing under then radar (as hard as that is to believe) and are cruising into the playoffs to get what expected to accomplish.
Lastly, Boston, a team I expected to fall off this year have played well despite their roster being decimated and off season signees not playing up to par. Although the C's are in the East and it's an easier road in the playoffs, much props to them since they have a winning record with two grandpas (but very talented) running the show.
