Alligators Are Found In Two Places
February 21st 2012 12:09
Alligators are native to the USA and China. They are found in the Southern region of the USA, especially around the Florida and Louisiana zones. They are spread through other states as well. In 2005 Louisiana had the largest Alligator populations.
These massive creatures live in the marshes, wetlands, rivers, lakes, and other places where there are swamps. They can live with crocodiles.
The Chinese Alligator is found in the Yangtze River. They are endangered. There are only a dozen left in the wild. More can be found in zoos. There are breeding programs which are aiming to bring the populations back up.
