So at 17,608 words so far, I have plotted out a few things in my head on how my story will go. THAT being said, I by no means WILL be sticking to it. In fact in all reality it will probably change direction but hey, thats the magic of story writing I guess!!
Nevertheless, below is the information that is on my NanoWrimo page about my [cough] novel [cough]:
Synopsis
When you go so far, is it possible to come back?
Lucy was no criminal. She never stole, she never got into fights, she never swore...well almost never. So why she was dropped at her Aunt's Juvenile Rehabilitation Farm escaped her. Her hate towards people ever apparent, her need to criticize every inch of everything, her inability to see an inch of good in anything. Lucy didn't realise that she wasn't being punished, she was being saved.
Excerpt
She grabbed the cold metal handle of the shelter door with both hands, fighting against the wind pulling with all its might against her. Her feet planted into the cement, her face stained with dried blood and dirt. She could feel the handle slipping beneath her fingers, each second feeling like an eternity. It was no longer fear that was driving her, it was purpose. She knew that she had to take charge and risk everything for those who remained. As the seconds ticked by, and the wind sucked at the doors, seeping her energy with it, a hand appeared from behind her. A hand more familiar to her than her own. One wrapping around her waist and the other grabbing hold of the metal handle. She wanted to collapse, she wanted to melt into his chest, like she did the day by the stream. But the force of the wind snapped her back, and she found strength in knowing, she was not alone in this fight. She never was.

Now my wonderful excerpt was actually the first thing I wrote and is at this stage has absolutely no place in my story. It may somehow fit in, it may not. WIll have to wait and see.
