Airlines and The Bottom Line
June 16th 2009 16:43
Since most airlines already filed for bankruptcy protection, it is an option that they are trying to avoid. A couple of automakers went into bankruptcy protection. Still this recession has hit airlines hard and there seems to be no immediate end in sight.
What are airlines doing to protect their bottom line? By stocking cash and shrinking. Shrinking is the keyword. Even airlines that seem to be doing well are struggling with their cash situations. Even with gas prices lower than a year ago, there is still a big loss in revenue due to policy changes and such.
