Airline Annoyances
September 1st 2008 17:43
I've been holding out on writing in this blog, because of the constant evolution of the airline industries in today's times. Oil hits an all-time high and jet fuel skyrockets at an alarming pace. Airlines have changed much of their operations to save and make money. The foreseeable loss was passed on to consumers in various ways. Now that oil seems to rebound a bit, airlines aren't going to remove the agendas they set in place.
Delta and Northwest will merger because they claim it will save money in the long run. That is a future topic. Airlines will still go through their announced layoffs, thus jobs are still on the line. Most have done away with skycap service. Flights have been cut. Fuel consuming aircrafts have been put in storage. They all seem to be charging something for baggage. Some are charging for what was once free such as blankets and pillows, and beverages and meals.
Some have done away with In Flight Enterainment. In today's tech world maybe we really don't need IFE. Computers, phones, and internet access is all that is needed.
You'll be happy to know that airlines won't block 'porn' that the pervert next to you is watching!
Welcome aboard!
