Air Rage and De-Icing
December 8th 2008 17:24
If you follow some headlines about airlines you will see an increase in air rage articles. These are increasing worldwide, and in the US a few people had to be subdued in duct tape. They all seem to be binge drinkers that start drinking in the airport or before they get there. If you add the no-smoking factor that seems to add fuel to the rage!
The rise of air rage can present a dangerous situation to security since some may think it is a diversion from something else.
In cold climates, aircrafts and runways need to be de-iced to prevent ice from forming. Now you have a runway de-icing chemical shortage because of a strike. Airlines and airports could face disruptions because of this situation this winter.
