AdSense Accounts
December 14th 2006 01:08
It is now possible to sign up for a Google AdSense account and then submit your Client ID through your my.Orble.com control panel. Simply click on the My Adsense ID link.
Our aim is to eventually move everyone over to having their own AdSense account.
You can sign up for a free AdSense account here.
Once you have your own AdSense account and have submitted your Client ID you will be paid your commission directly by Google. It will also enable you to make be paid for publishing posts on any Orble blog, not just your own, and not just domain blogs.
Google also provides daily statistics for your ads, including views, clicks, click through rate etc.
Thanks,
Jon.

Laura -- it does mean that you will be paid directly by Google.

At the risk of sounding naive, I don't know anything about Adsense...should I Google it or could you tell me more?
Thanks,
Tracy

once I've signed up for adsense and inserted my adsense id into my orble account... what do I do? Do I have to fill anything else up in my adsense account? Do I have to fill in that tax stuff?
On my adsense account, it also says "my payments are on hold." How do they not be on hold? Heh.
Thank you for your time

So now, instead of being paid if I earn over $US10 a month, I have to wait until I reach $US100? That's bullshit, I don't like it one bit. I hope these comments were allowed to be good AND bad opinions.
I say this because I don't stand a chance of actually making $100. I don't necessarily do this for the money, but seriously, it removes any real incentive to keep posting if I can't get a pittance every month to make me feel better about it.
I was stoked to get my first Orble payout this week - $28. I'm not likely to see a cent with Adsense.

AE -- you should not have to fill out anything else although it can vary depending on where you are living. If in doubt read the AdSense Help files, they are better than any advice I could give.
QC -- I realise that the $100 threshold is a real pain but we had no choice but to move to individual AdSense accounts. Google only allocates a certain number of tracking channels to each account which we need to keep a tab on what everyone is earning. We had used all of our channels.

Age is Just a Number
However, I've noticed that I can only add the blogroll to my dot com blog? Am I doing something wrong or is that how it is set up?
Wishing you a happy and prosperous New Year!
Thanks,
Dee

Because i tried to sign up for an adsense account, but was denied because i didn't have a domain name in my name. I have my own domain name, but i do not have an orble domain blog... so what am i supposed to do?
