About Joshua

From the author:: This is about a young man who is no longer living on Earth. His hame has been changed and many of the authorities about his death. He was the youngest son of the man in Bolivia, a missionary who killed one of his friends by accident. Really Long Link He was a very discreet person, but one whom we all loved, those who knew him. Please read about Jushua.
“There he is again, Jeremy, that Joshua guy.”said hhe classmate of Joshua. The guy he was talking about wascarrying a violin case and a couple o of books.
Jeremy replied, “I see him. He always carries a violin case as though he was about to play us a tune.”
“He does play the violin well. I heard him at my church Sunday. He is good at wat he does. He played some of the same somes we sang in church.”
“Do you go to church every Sunday?”
“My dad forces us to go. It takes away from our weekend but it’s OK,” jeremy answered. “It’s betterthan having to listen to our English teacher every day.
As Joshua approached the two, he spoke. “Hi guys, looks like it is a niceday for school.”
“Hi”replied Jeremy. Then, they moved away from him.
Joshua at age fifteen, lugged his heavy violin case and the books toward the classroom door and enetered the schoolhouse. He was a very small boy for his age but well-dressedand very concerned about his image.
The boys did not bother with Jushua from then untilhe came out of the schoolhouse. Since somebody had left their book bag under the steps, Joshua andhis packages were hampered by the bag. When he started to go around it, he stumbed and fell.
Jeremy and his friend both smickered about the stumbling boy and his books and violin case. Otheryoung eny helped the boy get settled. It the meantime, as they seemed to help Joshua, he fell on his face. Other boys helped him but did not get too far.Someone came up and found the nurse just coming out of the school house. She helped to get the mess settled but looked rather upset at what she saw.
“Go get an ambulance, quickly,” the nurse said. She the tried to get t situation in shape, putting Joshus on his back ahd helping to settle him verves. She helped by taking off the heavt sweter she was carrying and uring it to make a pillow for Joshua.
They lay the victim onhis back with his head on the nurse’s sweater. The nurse helped him get his feet untangled from the mess and tried to comfort him.
Jeremy and his friend discussed the scene. Jeremy said, “He never was very good at sports stuff. I guess his parents did not value sports too much.”
“Mine neither,” said his friend. “I guess sports at this sshool is hurting because of us good players having bad parents.”
A girl approached the boys and wondered why Joshua was lyign on he ground up at the school. She asked and they told her about the bag that had caused Joshua’s downwardspiral.
The girl said, “He is good with his music. I sometimes hear him at the church beside out house. His violin music really turns me on. I wish my parents wanted me to go to the church.”
Jeremy added, “And mine. I wish my dad wanted me to go sometime. But they say that the neighbours will complain if I attend that church.”
The girl addes, “This reminds me of the time I heard them practicing outside. I though I heard the some Now Is The Hour as Now is the Hour. I mentioned it to Joshua, and he said it was a church song. It soundedlike the songwe had atsome of the family weddings. Joshua said that he would not play such a song.”
“His paarents have a lot of contrrol over him, it seems”.Jeremy’s friend added.
The girl suggested that it was his ow nidea. He has many other odeas that about a sstppid as that. She added, “He even said that he does not allow anything to coverhis Bible, not even his music. He said that the Bibl eis God’s Word and should not be covered by other things.”
“He is weird, I think,”replied Jeremy.
An ambulance arrived. After a while, they took Joshua out on a stretcher. They learned that the boy had some bad injuries.
Jeremy replied, “Just as I said, he is dumb at sports.”
“And great with god,” the nurse happened upon them as they were talking.
A hush lulled.
A few hours later, the reply came that Joshua was in the hospital and may not recover. Some of the people began to talk of him and his violin and his Godly heritage. Even Jeremy and his friends no longer had anything negative to say about the boy.
In a fewdays, the news of the town included the death of the little violin boy who had played at so many of the churches over the last few years. The little non-sportsminded little guy who had entertained so many people had gone on to Heaven.
The school found that more and mere students wanted the music teacher to teach them how to play violin. IThe school eventually opened the Joshua club for studentswho wanted to learn the violin and his father’s church opened for people who wanted to have a glimpse of Joshua’s Bible character. The church opened a two week series about Oshua with the idea that Joshua’s name is another way of saying “Jesus”, that the two are the same name.
