Bloggers Tips - by Kams

Blogging, the emerging innovation for sourcing crowds. To coup up with the race of this community driven technology, we need information/news. This is all about information, tips and trends from every corner of Blogosphere.

A-B-C of inline text advertising

Those who already have there own blog sites or frequent readers of different blogs should have noticed how ugly it’s become when too much ads shown in a blog. But on the other hand showing ads is the primary options for a blogger to earn extra cash. Without showing ads in your blog you can expect to have click revenue roll in your account. Though there are other methods for blogger to earn cash, but those are not suitable for bloggers who just started blogging or have less than 500,000 page views. And frankly speaking PPC (pay per click) ads gives me more money than any other methods, you will be shocked to know it can give you even AUD$1000 without a sweat even if you just started blogging.

Now we got ourselves a problem PPC ad gives us extra cash and we can’t show too many ads since it might make our blogs look commercial or ugly. The simple ways to fight back is “inline text advertisements” (these are PPC too, though some are exclusively Pay-per-sales). In my personal blog site I have experimented almost every single advertising program exist on the net, and finally had to draw a conclusion that I better go along with “inline text advertisements”. My recommendation to bloggers who want the best out of their blogs use Adsense as primary advertisement (don’t use more than three), secondary advertisement use Amazon or any other (use only one or two units of ad), and use inline text ads as much as you wish.

What is “Inline text ad”?
Inline text ad means the advertisements within your blogs texts. It can be a hyperlink or redirect or small rectangle message window appeared upon mouse over on highlighted texts.

What are bloggers options for inline text ads?

There are many options for bloggers to use as inline text ads. Almost every advertising program has text ads, which you can use as inline text ads. But stop right there, do not use YPN (yahoo publishers network) or Google adsense text ads since there policies are tricky and might result ban of your account. Here are some solid options I think a bloggers can try to use as inline text ads-

Chitika eMiniMalls: This advertising network supply inline targeted ads by highlighting certain keywords. When a user mouse over the highlighted word(s) an interactive massage rectangle appear with ads. But remember your application might turned down if your page views less than 10,000/month. Some of my friends reported that your account might get deactivated if your page view reduces.

Clicksor: This advertising network is almost same like adsense. But the rates are far lower than Adsense. But since our concern is inline advertising, let’s get to that point. If you already don’t have a clicksor account, open one. Go to “Get code”-->”banner Ads” section and generate codes only for “inline text links”. After that just copy and paste it at the end of you blog template page, just before </body>. It will highlight keyword base words in your blog and show a rectangle msg box to show ads on mouse over.

IntelliTXT: The best inline text advertising ever I have come across so far. Since the only network where every word is valuable, not some handful of keywords. Definitely worth a try to get your application pass throw them, though they never say what are the exact requirements. I noticed you should have minimum a million page views per months, blog older than few months, domain registered for longer periods are very essentials for these kind of companies. The same methods were used by Edios in Tomb raider: legend site. Very much interactive ads, even flash videos can be shown on msg rectangle over highlighted text.

Kontera: Very much alike of IntelliTXT, but fewer requirements to get in the programs. if you have just 500,000 page views doesn’t matter unique or not you are qualified to join in this program.

Nixxie: Nixxie's technology automatically delivers the most appropriate sponsored links, price comparison and auctions listings which are matched to the content of each of your website pages and words. Very much similar program to IntelliTXT and Kontera. If your blog is related to Britons, or most of your readers are from Britons very suitable. But before you decide take a look at their requirements, very much strict.

These are the best methods available so far without violating Google adsense policy or YPN policies. I will keep on updating this topic either here or in my site.
