A Love That Died
November 22nd 2007 00:25
Once I used to look upon your face with tenderness and care.
Now these feelings all have died and my heart just knows despair.
Where there used to be gladness, only darkness, so unfair.
The joy of our togetherness has gone, no longer the special pair.
Our union, which was my bond, has walked off into the night.
Now all our conversations are filled with bitterness, coldness and acid spite.
I never thought I'd say it, admit our love has died.
Watch out for what I'm saying, my feelings, the need to hide.
How can what once was shining, precious and unique,
Become just another broken relationship, a sadness of which to speak.
I lament for all that once was ours, the passing of a love,
And in losing you and leaving,
I pray to god above, that he'll look to us with forgiveness
For selfishly and callously, mistreating that special, loving, love.
How can what once was shining, precious and unique,
I lament for all that once was ours, the passing of a love,
And in losing you and leaving,
I pray to god above, that he'll look to us with forgiveness
For selfishly and callously, mistreating that special, loving, love.
