A Little Big 12* Gossip: Lubbock Shores
August 17th 2010 17:17
Yeah, you heard me, you heard the "Jersey Shores" reference. Texas Tech will try their hand at reality T.V. this season.
Is this the smart move? After Adams-gate supplanted the Pirate King Leach from his throne? Who am I to say?
But the final truth is this. "The Ride" is set to debut on September 4th. It will reportedly show an inside behind-the-scenes look into Texas Tech sports.
This is the official description from Texas Tech's official athletic website:
"The weekly reality show will give fans a front row seat on the ride our student-athletes and coaching staffs take each week. Through the ups and downs, The Ride will provide a never before seen glimpse into the day-to-day trials and triumphs of Texas Tech athletics. The planning, execution, work and thrill of sport are all part of The Ride."
New Head Coach Tommy Tuberville said that with the popularity of reality shows these days, it's the perfect way to showcase the Texas Tech football program and the like.
All I know is, if I see Steven Sheffield in a Snookie wig, I'm gouging my eyes out.
