A letter from Death:
To all my fans and those that are just curious.
I am very intrigued by how the living think of me especially in how I am portrayed in movies and television. You living enjoyed the 1934 Death Takes a Holiday so much it was remade as Meet Joe Black in 1998. If I could only take a break from the never ending list of people. But alas, no vacation for me.
I laugh about how I am portrayed in Bill and Teds Bogus Journey. Yes, lets play connect four, battleship or twister. At least the living involved in that film have a good sense of humor. That is very important in living life to the fullest. I think my character was a bit pale, but how would the living know what I look like until its to late. Then your dead and cant tell anyone even if you really really want. Haaaa, how Cruel it seems.
Characters based on me have shown up on various television shows like Charmed, Touched by and Angel and Dead Like Me. The concept of more than one Death is interesting. Someone living realizes I could possible need some help with all the people that die each day. Sometimes thousands at one time. I know how some living take death so dont let me depress you because thousands are born everyday also. Not my department really but life happens so live it while you can.
The worse thing and maybe the best thought out movies have promoted the fear of Death. I love the Final Destination films (B ). But I really dont stock any one person or group of people. I just show up when the people are on my list. My list changes often and it is never ending. It can be pretty irritating at times. If you dont die when you are initially on my list then you just move to another spot on the list. No one can live forever as far as I have seen. You just move on the list. Go ahead and fight it and try your hardest to live as long as you can. I would if I were you.
I also want to say I have no control over when and how you die. So, maybe there are clues about death in life. Do you really want to look for clues or live life while you can in every way, shape and form? I would live life if I were you especially some of you as I look at the list in front of me.
Dont run or hide from Death. You cant. And it could put you higher on my list. Think about the people who die in the Final Destination movies. Plane, crash, slipping on a wet floor, hanging, car accident, train accident and come on living if you surround yourself with sharp objects and you are on my list something bad is going to happen. The living just make their death so easy sometimes I cant believe it.
Bad things can happen to good people because even good people sometimes put themselves in harms way at some point. Most of the time the living dont even know they have put themselves in harms way or unfortunately are born into harmful situations.
I dont make the list. The movie discussed above says there is some sort of grand plan. If there is its not a plan I know of. My only grand plan is to be where Im suppose to be when I am suppose to be there. Im Death. Its what I do.
