Green frogs love to bury themselves in dark places
If you open your mouth when you are near them
They might bring it upon themselves to jump inside
I wouldn't mind rescuing animals in a breeding programme which has some animal spcies available to pet stores. Like kangaroo rats, wombats, wallaby's, and even maybe koala's. It would get some species out of disparity.
The koala is threatened by forest fires, natural habitat destruction caused by logging, animals such as dogs, cats, and even dingoes, and it was once threatened by man who once had legal rights to hunt it down for the fur trade.
The koala is a grey fuzzy thing which is not a bear. It lives in trees and eats native euclayptus. It is a much favoured Australian icon, along with the kangaroo. It is a lovely animal which is very docile. It sleeps all the time. At the moment it is decreasing to 1000 members in some places in Qld and NSW. A breeding program is going to open to try and get the numbers up. It is now endangered. But in other states like Victoria there are still quite a few, so there are still available. They are just not as diverse all around the country as they used to be since their numbers grew after a killing cult for fur trade was opened near the 1900s.
It is said that animals are actually capable of committing suicide. They actually starve a lot in the wild, and with the distress of the modern world circulating before their eyes, they decide to commit suicide. They do it alone and in packs. Birds drop from the sky and land head first in the dirt. They die there. Whales and dolphins beach themselves on the land. They dies of being unable to breath. It has been proven that animals take their lives so that they might no longer need to live. They do it to die. It is a wave of natural destruction.
Many countries no longer have a large fur trade. However in some countries, like China, there is still a fur trade. Poor little animals are crippled and then skinned alive. Their fur is taken, and some can even be seen quivering. It is traumatic to see (watch You Tube to see), however it is there, and people do still buy fur. However there might be a cure to thise kind of fur collection. It might be more humane if the people who make fur pick up animals that have been put down in kennels, vets, and pet stores, and then use their skins for the fur trade. The animals are usually dead, and so it would be more humane to arrange pick up and skin them from there. It could be a second step for animal carcasses, and bones could even be used still in medicine. It would be more humane then the way they currently do it, and it would make fur trade active and a collectors item.
The North American River Otter is one of the animals that are hunted for. They are hunted because they have nice fur. They are often 3-4ft in length. They are a protected species because they are killed and others die of diseases.
There are thirteen living species of Otter. They are able to swim and live on land. They feed on fish and also sometimes shellfish. Aside from fish they also eat bugs, birds, and small mammals.
