"Kaitly w/my horse Apache Wind"
we got up early today and broke out the horses. They got baths yesterday. "The horses that is." although Krystina realy got a bath too. when we where tanning, she had gotten hot, so she filled up a BIG horses type bucket and took a "Down on the farm bath!!" <huge smile> i have great kids. i LOVE the way their minds work. they are very clean but not afraid to get dirty and get down and play.

i LOVE days when the horses are ridden. i just LOVE the way they smell. i alwyas go up to them pressing my nose to them. taking in a big wiff. i wish i could bottle up their smell and carry it around with me to smell anytime i like.
we recently rescued a pig from a farm. the kids had one when they where little but back then we didn't live on 11 acres like now. we ended up having to get rid of him, but i promised one day we'd get a new one. i was looking for a pig since we moved in, but for me, things like taht come to us, we don't actualy go looking for our animals. they find us instead. i was HOPING a pot belly pig found us, but no such luck. a pig that when she's grown will be two to four hundred pounds found us. i didn't even say yes at first. we looked at her and then went to a waterfall about a half hour from our house to take pictures andpaly. we couldn't get that pig out of our head. she had a half an ear and was going to be slaughtered. now i LOVE meat. so lets get that straight. especialy bacon, but i don't go out and see the pig first. if i did, i'd not be eating meat. This pig was going to be slaughtered just because of a half an ear. i'm not normal. i'm over weight. what if humans where slaughtered if they where over weight, or had horible aches that keep them from working like messed up backs, bad ankles, one arm. it just wasn't fair. so we went back and at first the guy wouldn't even sell her to us. i had to beg. he said "we're butchering her because she has a half an ear, you don't wnat this pig." i said "Thats exactly why i do want her!!!: he finally shook his head knowing us three lady's werent leaving until we got that pig. fifty bucks handed to the dude and we where off with a sqeeling pig for a half an hour screaming ridewith ears plugged. me thinking, "i know i did the right thing, i know i did the right thing." her name is Petunia now and the horses LOVE her, especialy Wildfire. she acts like the pigs her baby. it's the cutest thing.

If Kramer can develop a cologne called 'Beach' for Kalvin Clein, surely you can develop one called 'Horse Sweat' for women. *

I've never been a horse sniffer, myself, but each to their own, I guess.
Maybe you could contact Nicholas Evans and Robert Redford, and get their permission to call the scent 'Whisper' ...

Looking forward to meeting Petunia. Great name, too. I think it's adorable the way she bonded with the horses.
You have such an enchanting life!

I love your horses names! We also have animals that just 'find us' an armys worth...Wendi knows them all. Your life sounds a lot like ours....Just when you think, "no more animals" some more come along and make themselves at home...
Our most recent? A friend brought over some duck eggs on good friday. I was not hopeful, but we got one duck so far!
I have never seen ANYTHING so cute!
