A day in dirt and sunshine

"The greenhouse after our storm clean up!"
i spent time today out gardening with the girls. we first cleaned out a couple flower beds from their winter debris. The sun was soo warm that we decied to sunbathe a little while while listening to Taylor Swift. Next would come a little yard clean up. sure does get messy with 3 horses, 8 chickens, 1pig, 5 yorkies [3 here at the house, two at the trailer on our land taht my daughterlives in], two cats at her trailer, and three here, pluss 3 teens and a hubby.
after that would come clean up to the smaller greenhouse. a heck of a storm blew in and knocked all our planters and shelves down.
"The greenhouse before our clean-up from a windy storm!"
The greenhouse is all picked back up. don't mind my silly shelves. instead of getting new stuff, i ALWAYS try and use what i have. the extra pool ladder worked out great for shelving. we also had alot of wood left over from the horses stalls. along with some that where already here behind the chicken coop from when we moved in.
i soo enjoyed my day outside with the girls. we got two of the horses bathed. no time for riding with the winter clean-up but tomarow is another day. i didn't get to spend anytime with hubby or my son Chris. hubby is on midnights at the mill, and chris is trying hard to finish up his school year of homeschooling before the Myrtle Beach trip. Both him and Kaitlyn are sooo close to being done for the year. i'm proud of how hard they work. Kaitlyn starts her very first job this week. she's not even nervouse and i hope it goes well for her. not sure how long she'll keep it since we travel two weeks to Myrtle Beach leaving may 4th, then a week to NC at the fairfield harbor, then we'll be gone a whole month in september. a week for San Antonio, then we have a week open that we where comming back home, but now we're talking about booking a week in New Orleans or somewhere like that, then we have a week at disney world and a week at daytona already booked in september. we still have LOTS of points left so no telling where else we'll go between and after. <soft smile> we are HUGE travelers. we do homeschool trips with the kids, and then just everyday travels doing stuff we are just interested in.
"It's going to be sunny all week and in the 70's!" we'll be spending lots of time outside. i'd like to get the trailer painted. i know hubby loves me to death. i'm not your typical wife asking, begging or waiting for hubby to do things. i'm a housewife, he works super hard and i am cappable and LOVE doing projects around the house. ofcourse when he's home he does help out, but i mostly do them while he's working, getting them done. i do pretty much all the painting and yard work except mowing. he has a huge mower with a 5ft deck. we have three horses though so he only had to mow once last season. "Thats pretty great!!"
well i guess thats enough needless blabbing about life stuff. <grins>

Your messed up greenhouse looks suspiciously like my daughter's bedroom ... and that's on a good day!
We love to spend time outside too, growing things and just enjoying the space.

With as much as you do, I get tired just reading about how productive your days are! *LOL* - And as much as I love travel, I can't handle it in abundance... I'm too much of a home-body! But, that just makes your posts ten times better because we get to live vicariously through you and your adventures!
Your green house looks fantastic. I'm so excited for you. I was hoping for a garden this year, but it looks like it'll be put on hold for a while longer... I don't know how you do it all!!
:::hugs:::

i don't even feel exhausted either. i think we do REALY great balance with our day. working in the greenhouse, me and Krystina sit on stoolsplanting, writing what the plants are and watering. Kaitlyn fills dirt for us and takes containers when they are ready to move to a shelf, and then hands us what we need next.it's a great system.
i think with travel we space it out just enough to love it. pluss for us, we have two drivers instead of one. me and Krystina splits. now if hubby goes he does 99% of the driving while i ZONK out, unless were somewhere beautiful. if we come to somewhere beautiful while i'm asleep, he'll wake us up. we for sure live life to the fullest.
i'm LOVING the greenhouse work. we're selling some of what we have between the church and the non-profit for fundraisers. so i'm not sure how much will go in the ground here. i know i'm saving lots of tomatoes for sure. i have sunflowers too.
