Where do people get off reporting false information? That rather trashy British newspaper, News of the World has reported that Spears was on the verge of committing suicide after she reportedly wrote the devils number on her forehead and ran around the Malibu rehab centre yelling "I am the Anti christ!" and then reportedly tried to hang herself with bed sheets according to this newspaper but then Channel 7's Hollywood reporter came on TV this morning and said that these reports were false and that Britney is doing just fine. Then the Channel 9 reporter said he doesn't believe this story is true. To me, this latest Britney story is a little too far fetched if you ask me and it is about time, people left her alone, that would be the best thing for Britney at the moment.
Anyway bad news for the St George Illawarra Dragons, their makeshift five eighth, Mark Gasnier is most definitely out for the season after he saw a specialist today and it was confirmed that he will need surgery to repair his torn pectorial muscle. With Gasnier out for the season, their odds have blown out exponentially with bookies, going from an eleven dollar chance of winning the premiership to a twenty dollar chance. The Bulldogs and the Storm are currently the favourites for the competition which kicks off on March 16.
Well finally after month after month of denial, the NSW premier, Morris Iemma has finally admitted that the NSW economy is heading headlong toward recession but I bet he is blaming part of it on the Federal Government for the interest rate rises. Morris, part of the blame belongs with the treasurer, Michael Costa and you but also the former premier, Bob Carr and the former treasurer, Michael Egan! This admission comes on the back of the front page story in the Daily Telegraph this morning, that a drug program set up by the Carr government has been a disasterous failure and last week's statement by the Roads minister, Eric Roozendaal that the congestion experienced by Sydney's traffic commuters today is no worse then 10 years ago and now a plan to test kindergarten children on literacy and numeracy released by Premier Iemma today along with the admission that NSW is heading for a recession that will come as no surprise to the people of NSW after the dreadful way that Carr followed by Iemma have taken the NSW people for granted. Wake Up, Morris, you've spent too much of the last year dreaming that the Insanity Inc Government is "heading NSW in the right direction" (That slogan is a lie). My mate said Iemma is nothing but a muppet and frankly, I believe he is right, but if Iemma's muppet then can we add the long list of useless NSW State government ministers who have their portifolios changed so many times that it's hard to name their current title, muppets?. Let's see...there's Tripodi, Sartor, Roozendaal, Scully....
I have a really horrible feeling about this sale of Qantas, what is this big thing about Australian companies being sold off to overseas investors? I know it all started with the Labor Party when it was their idea to sell of the Commonwealth Bank and this has continued with the Howard government selling off Telstra and now Qantas, Mind ypu, I don't understand the first thing about foreign ownership so I'll ignore the feeling in my stomach.
