25th July 2008 Re Public Apology
July 25th 2008 13:21
In a recent post, I made a gesture of goodwill to Brian de Francesco, making a public apology. This was not made because of a court order, or because I was coerced by Mr Francesco, or because I was in fear of Mr Francesco if I didn't make the apology.
It was merely a goodwill gesture to try and keep the peace, as it is clear that Mr Francesco was not willing to take the first step to maintaining harmony. His statements to various people that he somehow forced the apology are evidence of that.
I will not withdraw the apology, nor am I ashamed in any way of making it. I felt it was the adult thing to do, and I am deeply disappointed that it has not been accepted as such by Mr Francesco.

Many of his actions prove this point none the least is that he feels he has the right, as President Of the Gordon Highlanders Football Club, to dictate who can and can not watch the Highlanders play at their home ground of North Park.
At last count I know of over a dozen loyal supporters of the Highlanders that De francesco has, in his mind, banished from North park.
Many of these fans, in their desire to watch footy on the weekends, are now attending Exchange games were they feel much more appreciated.
In that fantasy world of a mind of his, he feels he has barred them from attending North Park, When in reality, a check of council records shows that North Park is in fact council land and not, as I am sure De Francesco thinks, part of his kingdom.
As a result all so called banished supporters are welcome to watch the Highlanders play at any time they feel fit.
The reason people are not turning out to watch The Highlanders play is due to the Fact that De Francesco has turned away these once loyal and proud supporters, many of whom where instrumental in establishing the team from the start, 1 Treasurer, 1 Assistant Secretary, 1 Head Coach, 2 Trainers, 5 Strappers and 2 Team Managers along with many other once loyal spectators.
All this in less then 4 months.
As President De Francesco rules the club as his own dictatorship and as such is fully responsible for the predictament in which the club currently finds itself, struggling for results, credibility, respect and on the verge of financial ruin.
Unless The Club overthrows De Francesco immediatley I feel the club is at long odds to field a team in next years competition and there is no one other than De Francesco to blame.
