2010- The worst year ever so far!!!

I really thought that 2010 would have been a rather fantastic year but so far, it has been below expectations in all aspects!! It is quite disconcerting that someone can have so many disappointments in a year which has not yet even ended.
(1) Starting with the earthquakes in Haiti at the begining of the year, where each one of us realised that life can end so brutally after viewing the disastrous consequences of the earthquake with over 100,000 lives being taken.
(2) On the personal point of view, things were not going smoothly and still are NOT going smoothly!! In fact, it has become even worse!!!!!
(3) Next were the general elections where the corrupted govt party retained power inspite obtaining only 50% of the votes! This was quite frustrating considering that degrading law & order, corruption, subutex dealers, casinos were at the heights! Clearly, the nation did not feel the urge to change the leaders and chose instead to remain in the wrong end.
(4) Manchester United lost the league as well as being dumped out of the Champions League (which they deserved to win after unluckily loosing to Bayern). When things are not going well in their daily lives, people naturally turn to their favourite football teams to have the inspiration, motivation & joy needed to advance in life's hardships!
(5) The World Cup in South Africa did not either bring the level of joy required to make amends for all the disappointments listed above! Brazil who was the only team to have won the trophy on each continent soils (North America, South America, Europe & Asia) were my favourites to regain the trophy on African soils and thus posess the absoulte record. But unfortunately they were discarded from the Quarter Finals by a very brilliant Netherlands side who should have won the trophy (but Robben missed the two clear cut chances). Instead one of the most hated teams, due to their arrogance, actually won it. Spain!~! congratulations but you r still far from brazil's absolute 5 record.
Overall, on a score of 10, it can be said that 2010 is currently only at score 2!! With 5 months remaining till the end, let us hope that things gonna be bak to normal otherwise, 2010 will truly be a year to forgot in one's lives. . .
