2010 Big East Conference Tournament: Round 2 Recap

South Florida vs. Georgetown: Ha, I was wrong about how this one would go. I should have stuck with my instincts that Georgetown would blowout USF, as they ended up winning by 20 points. Dominique Jones ended up putting up a highly inefficient 21 points, while no one else on the team reached double digits. I predicted a big game out of Austin Freeman, but he ended up with a cold day, scoring only 8 points on 15 shots. 65 points
St. John's vs. Marquette: This game had the makings of a blowout early on, but St. John's stormed back into the game to make my prediction of a nail-biter look good. My prediction of Hayward having a strong game was correct, as he had an efficient 20 points, but Butler disappointed with only 3 points. Marquette may have sealed an NCAA appearance with this win. 75 points
Seton Hall vs. Notre Dame: As predicted, Seton Hall fell, but Hazell did not put up much of a fight, shooting 1-9 from three. That should end Seton Hall's NCAA tourney chances. 60 points
Cincinnati vs. Louisville: I predicted the score of this one almost perfectly, but I got the teams switched around. Cincy's defense clamped down enough that their lack of scoring talent did not matter. When a team gets outrebounded 46-29 like Louisville did, you just are not going to win in the Big East Tournament. 20 points
Overall Score: 6-2, 490/800 = 61.25%
Note: The "points" are based on the percentage chance I gave with my predictions. If I gave a team a 60% chance of winning, then I get 60 points if they win. If that team lost, then I get 40 points, since that would be the percentage chance I gave the other team to win.
