2010 Big East Conference Tournament: Round 2 Preview

South Florida vs. Georgetown:You would think that this would be an easy win for Georgetown and their strong offense. However, USF beat Georgetown earlier this year on Georgetown's home floor. USF's Dominque Jones is quite talented, but he will not be enough for one of the best shooters in the Big East, Austin Freeman. Georgetown will win this in a game that is much closer than it should be. Prediction: Georgetown (65%) over South Florida.
St. John's vs. Marquette: If this were on a neutral court, then Marquette would be the clear favorite, as they are much more talented than St. John's. That being said, this is a home game for St. John's, where they took Marquette to overtime a couple weeks ago. I still think Jimmy Butler and Lazar Hayward are good enough to move Marquette to the next round, but this one may come down to the final moments. Prediction: Marquette (75%) over St. John's.
Seton Hall vs. Notre Dame: Seton Hall barely escaped the first round with a win, but their luck stops here. Notre Dame is hot right now, and 6-8 Tim Abromaitis can shoot as well as anyone. Hazell will put up a fight, but ultimately Seton Hall will not have enough firepower to advance. Prediction: Notre Dame (60%) over Seton Hall
Cincinnati vs. Louisville: This matchup comes down to the fact that Cincinnati does not have the capability of putting enough points on the board. Their defense should be able to hold Louisville down around 70, but I don't see Cincy scoring much more than 60 points tonight. Prediction: Louisville (80%) over Cincinnati
