14th May 2008 Training Session
May 18th 2008 03:49
The Gordon Highlanders had a massive turnout at last Wednesday night’s training session, with thirty players turning up, and eight new players registering on the night.
This was a great morale booster for the team, which is still recovering from devastating injuries in the early games of the season, caused due to the large number of injured players. Despite the injuries, the entire team trained with tremendous enthusiasm, which showed great things to come in the near future.
Special mention should go to Trent Wellington, who has turned up at every training session, and at every game. Despite being on of the younger and smaller players in the team, Trent has shown time and time again that he has a heart the size of Phar Lap, and has proved a valuable asset to the Highlanders. We look forward to watching him develop as a player over future seasons.
