1 more day!!! Yikes

The front cover of the scrapbook i'm making for my brother mark.
I think i'm gonna have to mail some of these to my brothers. I only have one more day, and maybe a half to get four books done. Well, realy three books because my one brother lives in PA. The other three are all in Illinois. I sooo want to have all 3 Illinois ones done. Sp far all i have is one cover done, and one page. Lol I procrastinated. Well, i was out of town almost all summer. So not exactly. I worked on them yesterday two for hours and hours but that was, bowsing through thousands of pictures finding ones of my kids growing up. I have two brothers that are twins that where adopted out at three. We met them again, not until they were 18 when they showed up on our doorstep. they both then moved to other states, so we have only met a handfull of times. Now they both live in Illinois near a brother i was raised with. I thought showing them pics in their scrapbook of my kids growing up and me growing older, would be nice. They missed alot. Also i wanted to find pictures of our home here in PA because the three brothers in illinois has ever seen our 11 acre farm here in PA. The land is amazing. This room i'm sitting in typing is amazing with high vaulted ceilings covered in wood, 8 windows looking out over the land, two french doors and two sky lights. It's an amazing room. I want to show them our deep creek and fishing dock. Our horses. The wonderful waterfall close to our home and the natural waterslideyou sit on and slide down. I want them to come visit. I go there about six times a year but not once have any of them came here. Maybe if they see it, they will. It's fun here. We live a wonderful life full of everyday fun. Wether we're inside for winter or out playing in our creek, fishing, having a bonfire or whatever.

Two of my daughters are into scrapbooking in a big way - as are their friends.
It's a heartfelt keepsake that says so much.
It's nice to meet nice people - I think I've just discovered one
Thanks for sharing

You've made a wonderful life for yourself I'm surprised that your brothers aren't galloping there, twins are so special, with males so much depends on the females in their lives so that may be the problem or some of it.
Well done.

I think for a girl it's different going through all of that. I have been able to forgive and mend my relationship with my mom before she passed and most of my adult life. It's harder for my brothers. Mark and me are getting realy close though. We're getting there. He just has to learn he can trust me.
I think the scrapbook will mean alot. And if he never totaly lets me in, he can atleast get a glimpse into my world with my family. I have pictures all developed and ready to add that span over many years.
I hope to teach him that it's never too late o start doing things with his son. Mark doesn't think he likes kids, and even told me that when he offered me a place to stay last time i was done. he said just me because he doesn't like kids. I told him that i couldn't stay then because Kaitlyn was adopted and had no family to stay with. My other two where staying with their father. He gave in and now adores kaitlyn. Us going to visit and showing him pics of what parents do with their kids i hope helps. he has a son almost 15 that he just met last march pretty much for the first time. he did livewith him when mark and the childs mother where dating. But when the broke up when my nephew was a baby, Mark just moved to Arizona and never came back until now. You can tell when your there taht no one realy taught him how to be a parent because his dad was never good o them. My mom may have sold me but she also did many wonderful traditions that i have learned how to be a fun mom because of. on our birthdays my mom would make hmemade decorations while we slept and decorate for when we woke up. She couldn't buy any but made do. she colored easter eggs, put up a christmas tree, took us trick or treating and many other wonderful things that i have met sooo many moms, that don't do. Makes me sad to hear an adult say. "I am not into christmas, halloween or 4th of july so i don't do those things or decorate." it doesn't matter if you like it or not, you do it for your kids, or they probably wont do t with theirs either.
atleast thats the way i believe it to be. To each their own.
Take great care, Tammy
