-- Day 1 (10am) --
August 25th 2007 09:21
I'll begin by saying thankyou to everyone who commented yesterday. Well done to those of you who have made positive changes in your life already and to those still doing it. You have all given me some hope and more push to succeed.
I have started today by throwing out all of the junk food in the house. All that remains snack wise is lots of fruit and my daughters rusks and crisps, neither of which I like lol.
I have also started a savings jar. I have set myself a target of £70 by Friday morning. My partner works freelance and gives me a daily housekeeping fund so I have started by putting the change out of my purse plus £10 of todays fund into the jar.
I am going to Sheffield, UK, on Friday to see some friends and although I am only there one night the hotel and travel costs are going to be expensive. But I have vowed that instead of spending cash on sweets and magazines this week I am going to save it towards the weekend. That way I will have some extra cash with me so I can actually enjoy myself.
As for the other goals. I have began decluttering beginning with the kitchen and living area. These are the rooms we use the most so I think they are the most important. Hopefully it will be much more relaxing once its done too so I can enjoy more me time instead of staring at piles of old junk I don't really need.
I have started writing up an eating plan to make sure I am eating better and I am incorporating what exercise I can into my day. This includes taking my 1 year old to the park today. The fresh air will do the whole family the world of good and I just know she is going to love it.
I will pop back on later and let you all know how the first day in my plan has gone. Again, thankyou for all of your comments and please keep them coming. You are all inspiring me to keep going.
